With VNC, you install a program on the Raspberry Pi, and can then access the desktop environment from your computer on the same network, just by typing the IP address. Teamviewer works differently, as the goal is to give you access to your devices from anywhere, not only from the local network. You may have already heard of remote access solutions like VNC or XRDP. I understand that some of these steps might be confusing in this short version, so let me explain in more detail.
